You were one of the few whom I had shared every inch of my
life with
I remember how joyful we were for just having a small talk
We were once best friends and sweet companions
We became stupidly obsessed with one another’s existence
Everything grew uncomfortable between us when we started to
doubt our friendship
We had lost our control and passed the boundary
We got scared of every moment and questioned every step we
took
Are we friends? Couples? Companions? Strangers with memories?
The atmosphere was filled with tension, silence and pain
We knew it was too late to stay friends and too awkward to
become sweethearts
It was not our fault; perhaps, commitment was too scary at
least for US
We drifted apart for good and live a life like we had never loved
each other
Years passed, the world has changed so much since you had
gone
But the feeling about us to me is so unchanged that I could feel
with my eyes closed
How far I have moved on, I still carry on with the pain and
memory of you
